A Chain is an executable workflow. A Bit is one executable atomic task within that workflow. Creation requires executable instructions; use a template installation or the API composition endpoint for a multi-Bit workflow.

Every template Bit slot requires exactly one Agent binding.

The CLI automatically protects supported mutations from duplicate execution during its own retries. You do not need to create or supply an idempotency key.
