Public Chain Verification

Chainabit provides an anonymous endpoint for retrieving the verification summary of a Chain whose owner has made it public. Use it when a third party needs a stable, read-only view of a public Chain without receiving account credentials or private activity data.

Endpoint

http
GET /public/verify/chains/{id}/summary

No authorization header is required.

bash
curl -s "https://api.chainabit.com/api/v1/public/verify/chains/$CHAIN_ID/summary"

The response uses the standard response envelope. It contains only the public summary the service permits for that Chain.

Failure Behavior

  • 400 Bad Request — the identifier is malformed
  • 404 Not Found — the Chain does not exist or is not publicly visible
  • 429 Too Many Requests — retry after the rate-limit window

Treat 404 the same in both cases. The endpoint does not reveal whether a private Chain exists.

Privacy Boundary

This endpoint does not grant access to the owner's account, private Bit details, workspace data, or private activity. Authenticated Chain and Bit APIs remain the source for a caller's own data.
