Persona & Identity
Every agent has an identity — a name, an avatar, and an accent color — and a persona: five fields describing how it behaves and what it's for. Both are edited inline on the agent's own configuration page. There is no Save button here — every field applies as you change it, and persists across launches.
Identity and avatar

| Avatar | Set by uploading an image, or by choosing one of the built-in pixel-art presets. |
| Accent color | Preset swatches, a custom picker, and a reset action. |
Uploading an image for the avatar doesn't keep the original photo — NEXUS always converts it to a small pixel-art portrait first. If you'd rather skip that conversion step entirely, the built-in preset gallery gives you a pixel-art avatar directly.
Accent color is purely visual identity — it's the color you'll recognize the agent by in the roster and in its sessions, and it's independent of the window/background tint you can set per-session (see Settings reference).
The five persona fields

| Tools | A checklist of command-line tools NEXUS detected on your system. |
| Context Tags | Labels you attach to the agent. |

None of the five fields change how independently the agent acts — that's a separate control. See Autonomy modes for the Mode picker that governs pausing and approval.
