Settings

NEXUS has two settings surfaces. App Settings is the ten-section window covering the app as a whole; it applies every change immediately. Contextual settings is a different panel that targets whatever you currently have selected — a workspace, a session, an agent, a bit page, a file, a neural-map node, or a multi-selection — and, for the first five of those, stages your edits behind an explicit Save.

For the exact control-by-control contract — every label, what it does, and its default — see the Settings reference. Each section below has its own page with the same table plus the context to use it.

Contextual settings

Selecting almost anything in NEXUS exposes a matching settings panel: a workspace, a session, an agent, a bit page, a file, a neural-map node, or a multi-selection. The first five of those stage your changes behind Save and Cancel, guarded by an "Unsaved Changes" confirmation if you try to navigate away; a neural-map node and a multi-selection summary apply immediately instead, since neither edits a persisted field. See Contextual settings for the full breakdown of all seven.

Where to go next

  • Settings Reference — the full control-by-control table for every section above.
  • Agents — persona, autonomy modes, and mesh capabilities in depth.
  • Window & Panes — the Inspector's handoff into contextual settings, and layout persistence.
  • Neural Map — what a node's Capture Bit action does.

Built with purpose.
